That's the spirit! :)
ready to be challenged, play, and learn!
It's probably better to look for a "real" coach than taking the internet gamble, but it's your money if you want to try this. (blue=hyperlink)
On chess.com, a great way to improve is to play games (duh) and post them into the game analysis forum. You will usually get relevant feedback, especially if you annotate them ie give the reasons that made you choose the moves (and if you play moves for no reason, try to change that habit - you might realize afterwards that the reason was not a good one, but that's the whole idea).
hey thanks for the tips! i won my first game here! how do you write the games online for other players to see? i will look at that coach page-awesome!!

You can get the pgn files via home->online/live chess ->(games archive if needed ->) view (on the game you wish) -> get pgn. It gives you a text file which the program can interpretate into moves, so that you don't have to manually enter them.
Since a recent change in the board editor, I would advise to never post as plain diagram because it just looks like a plain image so others cannot copy the position from it. Example below : one post is a diagram, the other a "move sequence" with zero moves entered, and you can import pgn/fen only from the second one via the bottom left buttons.
hi,
i like chess and want to work on getting better at it. i love the challenge and i'm a competitive guy so playing well is important to me. i know players spend years learning to play well so i'm not expecting to turn into a grandmaster overnight but i'd like to get started! i like learning and i'm a good "student" and i will throw myself into "projects" i want to do or get better at so i'm fine with hard work. anyone who wants to challenge, or teach me some things? i'm also interested in a strong chess player here who can coach me one on one and teach me, and i can pay something for that too...
i got a few books i picked up from amazon and i'm beginning to put time into reading them and now i'm going to practice playing here so challenge me if you want and maybe you'll teach me some things in our games!
alright, have fun at chess everyone! maybe see you at a board sometime. :)
