Hey,
Just wanted to let you all know about the "Dream Team's Antics
I set up a team match with a south-african Group (we're Amateur Chess)
Some dream team members joined and then as soon as the match started resigned in their matches (but before enough moves were made to effect ratings of course)
Really do you care that much about being the best group on the site, to sabotage another teams matches??!!!
This is the most pathetic thing i've encountered on this site!!!
This is supposed to be fun!!! We are the Amateur team, we play for fun and to get better, but to be losing 4-0 after 1 day of the match because Dream team members resigned their games is a little unfair,
We will play out the rest of the games in the spirit of goodwill, and perhaps we might still win, but isnt it really tragic that the Dream Team act in this way.
Utterly poor gamesmenship!!!
Boooooooooooooooooooooooooo

I've seen this before with them.
I've even seen them kick players out for disagreeing with those on high in the Group. Not for me, but perhaps others enjoy autocracy.
I would say an order came down to those who joined telling them not to play, simple as that.

Hello Pimpingpawnage, sorry my friend for I was apart of TDT untill 5 days ago and I left on my own grain for divers reasons, once I left the group all my team matches were anulled,I hope that this was not the cause of your grief, apollagies!
What a bunch of prats the "Dream Team" are, anyone who is a member of that group should be ashamed of being associated with them.
Really this site is supposed to be fun, yet they seem intent on scoring hollow victories, and ruining matches between other groups, very childish and dumb behaviour
Seriously, everyone should boycott the "Dream Team" and all their members, muppets!!!!
Hey "thegab", no worries mate, your matches didnt affect the issue at hand
It has nothing to do with the members for they are like you and I,the problem is higher up with a load of propaganda and a lack of human respect!
I've had a few run-ins with the Dream team admins, and they are a bunch of wallys, this doesn't surprise me that they act in this way
We should all play for fun!!!! and not take ourselves too seriously

I have always refused to join the dream team and have played against it whenever possible :). ... with constant success I might add :D
I'm feeling a concensus forming here, The Dream Team are a bunch of cheating, egotistical morons
Why anyone would want to be associated with them is a complete mystery to me
I'm not sure cheating is a valid accusation. :-)
Dream team members!!!
Cmon and defend yourselves, justify your antics if you can,
Surely one of your 700 strong members has the bottle to respond, or are you waiting for your masters to tell you what to do???
Sorry, but i think that it is totally valid and justified
If they have sabotaged another team matches, then they have cheated, simple as that. The Dream team are cheaters!!
They have cheated because the team matches stats are now going to be affected.
If they do this for every team match, then they are more likely to be the highest rankest group in the team match ladder
Although I might add that allowing DT members into your group is your own fault ...
Anyone is allowed to join our group!!!!
I really didnt think that anyone would be pathetic enough to act in the way that the Dream Team have
Amateur chess is a fun group, we play for fun!!!!
Seemingly others do not!!!
Very sad behaviour
Sadly t'is the facts of life!
Maybe, they should have little plague bells at the side of their avatars, not sure that's practical though.
manipulating the outcome of a game, tournament or team event must surely be cheating
Yes, misread the original statement as I took it they resigned from the Dreamteam side, not another Groups side.
So it would appear so!

Sorry, but why were the dream team members playing for your Team?(Just asking)
Anyway,To be exact I'm a Dream Team member and I didn't know, any of these facts(I'm not sure that they are true but neither I think they're not).
I've never done something just because someone told me too, I wasn't waiting for anyone to tell me what to do and you can't insult every member for something that 4 of us did.
Maybe you're right I don't know, but I'm not a egotistical moron, I'm a child who wants to play chess.
the other members always seemed friendly to me and answered me every question I asked.
I can't take a side. But it's really sad that my teammates might have done that.
Well at least you have the honesty to admit being a member of the Dream Team, that takes a lot of guts to admit that particular sin!!!
Yes it is really sad that some dream team members act in that way, but you are guilty by association, sorry but the best thing that you can do is to leave the group rather than being smeared by accusations of cheating

Please be careful when making blanket statements about all DT members (or any club's members for that matter), especially when it regards the act of cheating which many chess players consider to be an unforgivable sin (myself included).
I happen to be a DT member only because I accepted an invitation long ago. I can't say that I've been very active in the group nor have I necessarily paid attention to the actions of others in the group. My life is rather busy at times and I don't always have time to read and follow what others in the group are writing or doing. I have never cheated at the game of chess nor am I a puppet. I see no reason that my reputation should be tarnished by a blanket statement which does not take individuals into consideration.
If the club contains some bad apples, then those apples should be culled. If most of the apples are bad, then I will cull myself from the club on sheer principle. I couldn't care less if I belong to a particular club or not.
That being said, I can certainly see your point and your concern regarding the effect that recent actions by DT club members had (or will have) on your team's results. But please place the blame upon those who participated directly. If they did organize a concerted effort to maliciously and adversely effect your team's results (and if it could be proven), then the individuals who took part should be reprimanded in some way.
