Don’t get your hopes up, chess.comers. “I knew it; I knew cheater_1 would be back.” Not so fast, novices I’m not here today because I missed you all and just couldn’t stay away any longer, or because I missed what this site had to offer, it’s because you DEMANDED I return. The amount of email I got was staggering. Many people saying that chess.com was NOT the same without my chess INSIGHT. People brought to tears because I was no longer there commenting on the chess issues that NEEDED to be commented on. People missed the BRUTAL honesty. People missed the debate. From one end of this internet to the other, people talked about the “voice being silenced”. The chat rooms were buzzing about my departure and blogs were being blogged about The WORLD’S STRONGEST INTERNET CHESS PLAYER calling it quits. Due to popular demand, I am coming out of my self imposed exile/retirement to satisfy the masses.

First off, I must make a public THANK YOU to ERIK, the owner of this site, for allowing me to reactivate the cheater_1 account. Second off, for all the chess players who may not be familiar with me, here’s a BRIEF rundown of who I am. I am one of the FIRST people to play chess on the internet as we know it today. I first logged on in the early 1990’s and have been playing since (that’s over 15 years). I was, more than likely, THE FIRST person to use a computer to make my moves for me (some call that cheating; I call it playing computer aided chess). I started playing chess over 30 years ago, so my extensive knowledge of the game, time spent as a tournament player in the USCF, as well as an EXPERT understanding of how chess programs operate (I even wrote one myself) makes me UNMATEABLE at internet chess. In the hundreds of thousands of internet games I have played in, I have not been DECISIVELY checkmated. There is some controversy surrounding that claim, and seeing I cannot prove it beyond a reasonable doubt, it will remain a controversial subject. So, let us agree to disagree, accept and progress, and switch to my final point.

The TRUTH is what I am about. I call it like I see it. I am neither politically correct nor polite when it comes to issues. Tact is not a concept I understand. I will pull no punches and back up ALL my points with FACTS and will cite the sources of those facts. I do not deal in opinions and if I say something, rest assured, I have done my HOMEWORK and IT WILL BE TRUE.

So chess.com users, you have me back again. I may not be as visible as I was in the past, because I am still a bit apprehensive about being here. But you demanded the voice of WISDOM, LOGIC and REASON return……so here I am.

Hello.Smile

Like Lazarus from beyond the grave he reappears to assault our senses & tickle our funny bones.

He just couldn't handle the loneliness in his basement apartment!

LOL! By the way, it's pretty obvious why you made up stories about you beating Larry Christiansen, namely because he was very vocal about cheaters at USCF events.

THEGROBE, at 12:00am Central Time, this name will become publically available. I AM going to close this account. ERIK overstepped his bounds one too many times. My style is very very easy to imitate so I'm sure a dozen cheater_1 imitators will surface. GOOD. Just capitalize certain words for emphasis and be very argumentative and I will live on. But, you'll just have to take my word that I'm not coming back.

The past is the past is the past. I CHOOSE  not to live in the past. I am HERE....NOW. REBORN.

Look at my last year here as chapter one of a PULITZER PRIZE winning book. How many people want to go back and reread that chapter before they read chapters 2-30? NOT ME.

Today, we move forward. This is chapter TWO.

Well, if chapter one was the equivalent of my 13 months here and assuming all the other chapters are about equal, and there are 30 chapters in this book......29 X 13 = 377 months or 31.4 years.

Assuming this site manages to stay open that long, that's how long my story will go on.

I'm trying to think of a good title for my SECOND chapter of time spent here.

The first chapter--my last 13 months here-- was kind of like a scene setter, I simply called it CHAPTER ONE.

I'm thinking chapter 2 needs a bit more pizzazz than CHAPTER TWO. CHESSOLOGY is the working title, as I will impart my vast knowledge of all things chess to you all.

No, CHESSOLOGY is a good TITLE of my "book".

CHESSOLOGY: The WORLD'S STRONGEST INTERNET CHESS PLAYER discusses all things chess, relates life's experiences to the great game of chess, and shows how you can improve your life when you apply the principles, dedication, and concepts of chess to your everyday thoughts and actions.

Published my Random House. Available in Hardcover June 2040. $49.99

OVAS, it seems you don't understand protocol. The CHAMP never challenges anyone. Potential challengers must approach me, ASK for a game, meet my criteria, and then a game will be granted.

For the next several months, I will NOT play a game of chess here. I'm only going to talk.
