I just started a game as a greeter and my opponent said the screen kept refreshing. Then he said that it was too bad I exposed my King (King pawn opening which doesn't expose the King). I went to feed my dog only to come back and see I had resigned the game after one move. It's an unrated "Greeter" game so it doesn't really matter, except to my poor opponent. I don't want him to think the game play doesn't work right. Anyone else ever had this problem. I don't think I somehow hit the resign button by mistake. I sent out a challange to my opponent and gave him an instant message regarding the problem. It's the first time this has ever happened.
I haven't had that problem, but it could be a new bug in the system..
Yeah, it's not a big deal but it sure was confusing. It will probably never happen again since they're good at fixing problems quickly here!
Maybe your dog didn't like his dinner and thought he'd give you a little help behind your back?
The customer service here is excellent, but it sounds like a bit of a one-off, so there might not be much they can do.
I put my money on that dog of mine. I guess I should have given her an extra biscuit at lunch. The dog!LOL!!
I figured out what happened: It ended up showing up as my opponent resigning when I went back to check it. This means that I misread the screen. Yes, today I am a big idiot. I am truly sorry for dragging you through the forum posting process. I may need to have my eyes checked and get a stronger prescription for my eye glasses. Yeah, I am soooooo smart, LOL (at myself).
I think there are some bugs - I havent faced them but some people have had their draw offers accepted when they hadn't even offered draw in the first place.. it has been reported to staff but they havent taken action yet.
It started 3-4 days ago I think...
I think you should report your experience to staff - if there is a critical mass of complaints they will have to wake up..
And to think--that poor dog was being blamed for nothing
Actually the dog is always up to something no good so blaming her for something balances things out. I am going to start blaming her for my lost games.
Hugh...can you please get your dog out of my house? She is causing me to lose as well.
I did a greeter game and my opponnent accused me of cheating because her pawn moved by itself.
