I've attempted to purchase the Rybka engine from chessok.com, but after entering all of the purchasing details, the status page says it could take several days to process the order!  Several days for a downloadable UCI.... you've got to be kidding me.  They haven't even charged my card yet.  I've never seen anything like it from any other online retailer.  Truly abysmal customer service (no response to emails yet).  I'm thinking of cancelling my order if I don't hear from them by tomorrow morning.

Hope this advice helps someone else.

You can get free (not the newest one though) Zappa engine, which finished 2nd (right behind Rybka) at the last computer chess championship, it was the only engine to beat Rybka too.

Check your spam and bulk mail folders. I've purchased from them on three separate occasions, and while they typically take 2-3 business days to process and e-mail your order, their customer service department has always answered my questions within 24 hours in a clear and helpful manner.

By the way, you can download a free version of Rybka from rybkachess.com while you're waiting--even that beats most chess engines.

I received the confirmation email in my regular inbox, so I doubt their other emails would be filtered.

With my Yahoo! account, the confirmation and support e-mails reach my inbox, but the "Your product is ready" e-mails don't for some reason.

Wholesalechess is wonderful. I ordered a chess set from them and it arrived two business days later, without paying for special shipping. Smile
