I am in need of some extra cash and I am looking to sell a couple chess books. I have untouched copies of The Middlegame Static and Dynamic features, Sharpen Your Tactics! and Silman's Complete Endgame Course. I have an Ebay account, but I have never sold books before. Where do you sell your chess books?

As a former Top 500 seller, I can tell you that selling books on eBay is not the best plan. Amazon or Half.com or Abebooks is much better. The move through rate is better and so the fees long term are better. In the last 90 days, Silman's sold one copy on ebay for $10 plus ship. The others didn't sell. IF you want to sell on eBay, do not use stock photos. Instead, take a pic of the front and back of each book and pay the extra 10 cents for the designer and the 15 cents for the second picture. I only sold books to the US because 4.99 Media Mail is more than enough to cover all my shipping costs plus a little extra on top.
Thank you for your advice. I don't plan on selling alot of books, just a few while I need some extra cash. I was planning on selling the books on an auction listing. My Ebay account has 212 transactions and 100% positive feedback. Do you think it would still be better to be a first time seller on one of the sites you listed? If so, which site did you find the most success at?
for weird subjects that aren't adult "oriented", amazon.com is best. They trade no listing fees for a slightly higher commission. Since you already have eBay feedback, though, I'd stick with Half.com

i'll buy em all?

If APStevens doesn't buy them, I'll take Silman's.

I would buy Sharpen your tactics. Let me know.

You must list which edition, paper back or hardcover, Dust cover (its condition)the condition of each book (esp ALL writing in it including if you wrote your name in it, highlighting, damage, yellowed, creases, shelf wear etc) If NEW (perfect & unread) or USED. I would avoid saying "mint condition" as this could make a buyer unhappy when he/she sees it's been read or has a little shelf wear.
BTW if you bought these 3 books used on amazon it would cost you about $57 + shipping for each book which could be another $12+ . Total = $69.
You did not mention your price. BTW Media Mail sucks, but it might be better now. When I used it (eBay) in the past it took too long and somewhat unreliable.
