Shortest Possible Game

     This is the shortest game possible. My friend and I found this when we were messing around with openings and he noticed it. I don't know if this is the only variation of this, though.

    Eight different sequences of moves end in 2...Qh4#

    White can checkmate Black on the third move, however,  at the end of 347 different move sequences. See how many of these you can work out.

    Yes, and I remember reading of an incident where that actually occurred - well, actually, come to think of it, it was Black who resigned after White's first move. White made an opening move (I forget what, or who), and Black said: "Ah, now I resign".  It was intended as a joke of course, but his opponent held him to it - thus making it the shortest tournament game on record.
