i would say at least platinum for the unlimited daily tactics. and, if you have time for chess mentor you should go to diamond.

This is one thing that annoys me. I do most of my tactics training at another site that is free for tactics. I think gold should get unlimited TT as well.

because chess.com is cooler than the other sites? i have no idea, i joined this site because of people i know. i don't spend time looking at other places.

I would go platinium if arn't going to use chess mentor. You get chess tv (which is awesome), TT and game explorer, which is plenty to get better with. However, if you want to supposrt chess.com or want chess mentor, either donate a few thousand dollars or get premium membership. Whatever suits you best.
