There is an argument that the most beautiful moves in chess are the ones that appear to do nothing! By this I mean that a piece is apparently "shuffled" backwards or sideways and yet has neither taken a piece nor even attacked one. Yet, this shuffle can have devastating effects. The whole position has changed, the exponent of the move is now clearly winning. These are really sly moves: deadly little shuffles that leave an opponent helpless. In the following article - Sly Moves - you can test yourself to find those beautiful, sly killing moves. Really it is only by having a full understanding of the position and great imagination that one can find them!
