Welcome to the internet. Yes it's happened to me many times. I've been guilty of it in the past too. Just ignore people that taunt and don't play with them again. The majority of people are polite or silent.

Ach, don't worry. The amount of good folk out there outweigh the bad. Anyway, running out of time ain't really embarrassing. I walked in on my folks getting jiggy once - now that was embarrassing, nobody laughed.

That's o.k. I've left the country and joined a witness relocation program. With help I've managed to create something that now resembles a life. Although, the night tremors continue :(

Well, now that there's nobody there to stumble in on them, your parents can do what they like, so why not?

Whoa -- going rate is $150/hr for that kind of confession.  You can't just spring something like that on us without first making an appointment and reclining on the leather sofa.

People change on the interent, I think because it is easier to say something to someone online then face to face and people exploit that. I personally just say 'gg' and exit out, win or lose.

You know time waits for no one at no particular time, to say the least.  However, I agree with many of the responders to your blog -- their are many great respectable opponents on the net playing chess.
