READ FIRST: If you are interested after reading, please post/message me saying I am interest ALONG WITH your current online chess rating.

I know many of you guys have been asking about tournaments, so I've decided to make one (or more) to quench your thirsts.

Format:
Double Round Robin (play each player once as white and once as black)
Games will be Move/3 Days
All the games will be held simultaneously
Both players must agree to rated game (so game is unrated if one person wants unrated)
Maximum of 6 people per section
Vacation time can be used (it's the holidays)....but extended vacation use (over 7 days) or repeated (3+ times) will not be tolerated unless the TD (me) and your opponent is notified in advance.  I'm taking time off for X-mas, so I'm not going to be harsh about vacation use during this time.
TD must be notified when game ends, I will have a standings page which I will update.
In case of a tiebreak, leaders will be notified by me and will play two games in the same format as the tournament.
Titles of the games should have "Sprite's Double Round Robin Game #1/#2"

DISCLAIMER: This is an experiment, so please be kind to me.  I also have the right to force any competitor to forfeit match(s) if I deem it necessary.

If you are interested, please message me or reply to this topic.  Any questions you have I will be more than happy to answer.

I'm not sure as to when I will close registration, it all depends on the number of people interested.  If lots of people are interested, I will divide based on rating.  Please (just incase) specify whether you would like to play in U-Rating specific section, open section, or don't care.

In the end, I'm directing this tournament for fun, so please make it an enjoyable experience for all.

Yes I'm very interested, so I would like to play & my preference to rated game. I just win my first game to a rated more than 1500 & now i'm playing to a rated more than 1700. I'm in a club here in my country Mauritius , the club called B4,with about 22 players in 2 categories playing round robin,& actually I'm second in the 2nd category of ten players with 6 matches to go, and only one defeat.

JuliusH, I'm going to make a series of blogs on the tournament(s).

To everyone who expressed interest, I'm going to wait for another day or two to see if there's more interest.  I've been hearing a lot of asking for tournaments, so I assume as night rolls around more people will be interested.

As of now, 10 people have expressed interest.  There's a group of 5 from rating 1700-1878, so I will begin that now.  I'm going to wait a little longer for more people between 1200-1700, to provide a little more balance (and challenge).

Sprite, you also might want to add a cross-table to show who won (+), lost (-), and drew (=) to whom as results begin to pour in.
