Yes, it looks pretty. Against a competent and competitive opponent you're not going to have time to get all those pawns into those positions. Also, you would be too far behind in development with lots of holes for an opponent to exploit.

It only blocks one colour -- your opponent has been good enough to block the other on himself for you. In addition, as likesforests pointed out, there are a lot of nice holes for your opponent to set up an outpost on.
