I am looking for a good strategy book for a beginner.  I have a couple of suggestions, just curious to see what other peoples opinions are.

This three are excellent!

1. Jeremy Silman: How To Reassess Your Chess

2. Yasser Seirawan: Winning Chess Strategies

3. Aaron Nimzowitch : My System

I just started the Silman book you mentioned.  so far I'm impressed.  For a beginner I'd lean towards the tactics book I mentioned earlier which is actually written by Seirawan and Silman...I mistakenly gave all the credit to Silman earlier.
