A few problems I have with Tactical Trainer:

1. Get problem right, but due to too much time end up with negative score. Seems like it should be 0.

2. End up checkmating with same piece, but because I'm one square off it's wrong.

3. When I'm one move from checkmate and my king is put in check and I move out of check to a square that I can't be checked again, but since it's not exactly the one in the program it's wrong.

4. When I play out a solution some of them have "glitches." I'll have to start keeping track so I can refer to the exact problem.

Overall I really enjoy playing Tactical Trainer, and have learned a lot, just wanted to note some issues I'm experiencing.

I think most of these problems are constantly being weeded through, best thing to do is as you say keep track so that you can point to specific ones that need fixing.

ironsides is a good chessplayer and was one of the very best postal chess players in a 4 state area for many years. his points are well taken. it's just that he plays p-k4 way too much.
