I was just wondering if i could offer a few suggestions for the tactics trainer...

1.Maybe there could be some sort of search function to find specific tactics (like chess mentor has)? Ie look for endgame tactics, or search by problem rating or something like that. i understand it is possible to browse through the problems, but if you select one and try it it doesnt affect your rating. is it possible to incorporate a search function with rated problems?

2.Currently it is possible to see the percentage of people who passed the problem. I was just wondering if it would be possible to see the % of each move every person took...that way, if i make a mistake i could see how many other people made the same mistake as me...(more of a cool feature than a learning tool, just because im curious Laughing)

Maybe some other people have suggestions too. I think this is a great site and i appreciate all the work the staff do on it Cool

interesting ideas!

the first one is going to be EXTREMELY hard to do because the problems are computer generated :) not easy to tell.

the second one would also require some MAJOR MAJOR re-architecting of the system.

i'll be honest, these are great ideas, but they aren't going to happen for a while. we are working on the openings section & game explorer, live chess, and a few other things.

keep letting us know your suggestions though!
