I think this is a useful tool on here, but why does'nt it explain the logic behind the move? I think it would be more beneficial if it explained the reasoning behind the move(s) to solve the problem.Undecided

Don't you have to be a premium-member to have acces to the explanations of the moves ?

As the name says, the tactcis trainer is there to help you along with your tactics. I feel that most positions there are quite clear from a strategical point of view, so there isn't much reasoning in form of prose text required. If you care for further tutorial in that aspect of the game, turn to the chess mentor function instead.

You will find information about alternative moves if you click the link "analysis and source" below the diagram, which should answer most tactical questions you might have. I'm not sure, but I think I remember this link is only available after solving (or failing) the problem.
