The 4 million dollar site

    Hello,

This site now has 4 million plus members and different than the 4 million dollar man Steve Austin it fails to deliver.

    Let me explain:

    1. With 4 million members I send a challenge to all players within the 2150 and 2350 rating range for 3 days in a row. My challenge does appear the same day and next day it disappear from my challenge list.

    2. I have been a greater for close to 4 years and now with 4 million members I never receive a greeter to play with.

Is this Deus Machina getting too big and a computer selects at random who should receive a challenge or even be able to play against a greeter?

In all consideration I feel that the members that forever since the inception of the site have welcomed greeters and challenged other players should be given priority to receives those chess games.

Chess, com, either needs to realign their priorities based on founding members or state what the new unpublished rules are for getting a greeter and to get a challenge from 4 million players.

Possibly with 4 million members I do not know what to do to challenge players.

Just asking for help and suggestions.

Depreciation? I thought Steve Austin was the 6 million (not 4) dollar man.

When you log off all your open seeks get closed. That should help with your number one.

I don't know anywhere you could find the information on the site, but I have always found that to be true whenever I have an open seek, or even an invite out when I log out

I think that would only be correct for Live chess, not Online. I just check the currently open seeks and only one of the players is still showing as online.

There was a thread about this a few months back. I think it was kohai who explained it to the OP at that time but am not 100% sure it was her. I have also personally experienced that effect once.
