Lately, my life have transformed completely...

Now I have no time to play chess and no time to even think about chess... and I simply lose to each and every opponent I (casually) play against...

So, right now I'm like: I hate chess... I love chess... I hate chess... I love chess...

Chess is time consuming... chess is beautiful!!! ... chess is a complete nonsense... chess is an art!!! ... chess is meaningless... but chess is a parallel universe for love's sake!!!

Any advice on how to stick to the cause?!

Quit your job (or find one that's less time-consuming) and leave your wife (or find one that's less time-consuming)

I feel the same way about cheesecake

Yes, these things will mess with your game, but it is probably only temporary.

Over time you will learn that each new job is just similar stuff packaged differently with a different stupid boss, and that no matter how beautiful, smart, and charming a woman may seem, there is a man somewhere who is sick to death of her.

Then you can get back to chess . . .

Just force yourself to play at least 1 game a day for 6 days a week and consider the last day a special day giving you a break from the harrassment you put yourself through!!haha

At the 1975 US Open in Lincoln Nebraska, I ran into IM William Martz (RIP) in the coffee shop of the Hilton.  He was leaving as I was coming in, so we chatted briefly and I asked him what was good there.

I have no idea what a cheescake is, but I think I can safely assume it's a high calorie food  because that's how I feel about these things, although mostly I don't really care that much!
