BasicLvrCH8r,
aye, but there was 24hrs to commit all his stuff to hard copy. Did anyone? Na, probably not. Too many missed opportunities, less chat more action!
:)
The threads still exist on the chess.com server. Perhaps erik would be kind enough to present them to the chess.com community. However, I doubt he would agree to that, due to personal reasons. Big Brother wants Rutherford, Aaronson, and Jones gone.
Yet another topic on him?! lol
I will be glad to see the end of all these dumb topics about him :Þ
So I was checking the account settings on my profile just to see if one could erase a profile if one wanted and I could find no such option. Does this mean Erik did in fact erase cheater_1's profile or is there something I am missing?
There is something you are missing.
http://www.chess.com/home/cancellation.html?type=account
ok I got you
thanks for clearing that up
RIP to one of the few interesting posters on some forums that are far to often full of "best player ever" bull$#!t
how do u know eric deleted his account? maybe he cancelled his own account to see what u people would do haha
Yay :) I love you Erik.
Now he's dead, who will raise cannibal?
(was that it's name?)
Yes, that is its name. CANNIBAL 37. I hope that he can continue to use it elsewhere. Too bad he could not use it to finish the game against the Light Force.
cheater_1 has been out shined by Light Force and may he rest in peace.
that if he is really cheating
He closed his account with the threat of it being banned. Think of it this way. An imaginary does something his boss doesn't like. His boss tells him that he must resign within a certain period of time, or he will be fired. It is the same situation with cheater_1.
He never cheated on this website without giving his opponent the opportunity to do the same. For example, the first vote chess game allowed computer assistance on both sides.
This is a sad, sad day in chess.com. I have enjoyed this site immensely in the few months I have been here, but this situation, which ERIK and not cheater_1 has created, is making me sick.
I am seriously considering leaving over the treatment of cheater_1. I really do not like it when power-hungry moderators, owners, or whatever bully people off of their sites/forums for no other reason than they have an opinion that runs contrary to their own.
My grandfather lost his brother in WWII, my other grandfather fought in the British Army in the war, and more recently, my two cousins were in the Canadian military. They all fought, risking their lives so that we all can enjoy the freedom to express any opinion we want.
I have seen many a forum, and many a website, die due to censorship. The first instance of censorship is usually a turning point, which is why I usually fight very hard to prevent that first instance from happening, especially if I enjoy the site.
And don't kid yourself...this is censorship, pure and simple. Yes, cheater_1 voluntarily left, and made a public demonstration of doing so. However, earlier yesterday, I nearly left chess.com myself when I read Erik bullying cheater_1, telling him that he had to comply with his wishes by saying something that was clearly only Erik's version of truth, or else be banned. It is censorship; it made me sick yesterday, and still does.
Erik is a cyber-terrorist, the internet equivalent of Saddam Hussein. He uses his power to bully and censor, and his supporters love him for it. Either that, or they fear him too much to oppose him. For those who do oppose him, lose their identity within his world.
Erik, I really think that you owe cheater_1, and all of chess.com for that matter, a sincere apology for allowing your power to go to your head, and for your dictatorial approach to running your website, which denies freedom of speech and expression (or at least, picks and chooses to whom you afford those privileges.)
May you Rest in Peace, cheater_1. You will be missed.
That is exactly right. From what I have read of the situation, every game he went into, he made it clear up front that he was using the aid of a computer. The opponents stepped into the matches knowing full well that was the case, and were welcome to do the same. That is not cheating.
Sharpie, this is not the first instance of censorship. However, the first to go actually broke rules. His name was micktitan. He went into the Open Discussion forums and started harassing people personally with racial slander. He needed to go. But cheater_1 did nothing.
If the guy broke rules, then I do not consider that censorship. Perhaps I should have clarified my stance on that.
Cheater_1 did NOT break any rules, and therefore he had every right to continue posting his opinions freely and without censorship.
I was just clarifying. I agree with you.
No, it's not over. Erik needs to apologize to all of chess.com for his fascist actions.
Drama, drama, drama.
Just play chess, come on people..
good riddance
