Hey I have been playing chess for a few months now and now I am uunsure on how to get better

I study tactics using Back to basics Tactics by Dan Heisman and A world champions guide to chess bby Susan Polgar.

My rating on this site is about 1400

How can I improve my chess ability and rating...

Thanks

This question has been asked so many times. If you search the forums, you should find plenty of threads exactly like this one, with the advice you are looking for.

In short, a rating of 1400 means that the most important thing in your chess improvement for a long time will be tactics.

These are good books. I'd recommend you get Logical Chess Move by Move, by Irving Chernev: http://www.chess.com/eq/chess+books/logical-chess-move-by-move2

Other than that, keep playing, keep studying tactics, and you will keep improving!
