The "Notes" Tab

For those of you (are there any?) who use the notes tab, has anyone experienced any issues with character limits?

The reason I ask this question is because I am debating making use of this tab to notate "all of my thoughts" as I play through matches.  I also think the act of forcing myself to notate my thoughts on this tab will help reduce mistakes and also provide a nice reference to refer back to after a match has completed and I've run it through computer analysis.

It would be interesting to maybe have some new site functionality added to the notes tab that could help organize our thoughts and allow us to enter in variations we considered and/or traps we wanted to avoid.

There is, but it's pretty high, it is 100k characters. It's very likely that you will never type that much about one game...

Ozzie: Glad to hear you also find value in this technique.  I've noticed that my time spent thinking about a move has gone up quite a bit now that I'm forcing myself to jot down some thoughts before making my move final.  I'd say I use to spent probably 1-2 minutes thinking about my move whereas I seem to be spending more like 4-5 minutes counting the time it takes to type up my thoughts.  We'll see if I burn out on this or if it becomes the new me.

Baseballfan: Thanks for the factoid on the character limit.  I certainly don't anticipate typing that much information for a single game.

Just throwing this out there, but I think that the ability to save multiple analysis lines, along with move-by-move annotations, would be an amazing replacement for the notes screen altogether and would probably address any character limit issues.  As an added bonus, the functionality would probably also be almost entirely reusable to enable the annotation of moves made in games while they are in progress....
