We are pretty much unanimous in our loathing of 'first!' posts in the daily puzzle, and indeed of flame wars (eg, 'pre-move').

Perhaps the admins here, that we know have been hiring ambitious talented programmers recently, could get them onto a poplular project for starters - implement a thumbs up or thumbs down user rating for each post.

Readers can then have the option to display posts that only have a net >=0 score, or even sort by popularity.

This has been implemented on many website forums, so why not here?

And also the suggestion has already been debated to death in previous threads . . .
