Tiebreak scores - how do they work?

    Hello,

    In tournaments, there is usually a score for tiebreaks as well. How is this score calculated? Is it by how many pieces the loser still has on the board at the end of the game (ie how comprehensively they've been thrashed) or does positional play count as well?
