Type www.chess.com .....wait...... click login ...wait... enter name and password ....wait.... click on live chess ....wait..... and get disconnected. So this is how we waste a lot of time only to get disconnected. When are  we the chess.com fans and members going to enjoy live chess? There are many free interface/client like "arena" , "winboard" available. Can't these be used to play live chess here. And when we are going to have a downloadable client for chess.com. A client means just click the shortcut and start playing.

 Hoping to get see a live chess.com client for both pc and mobile in a near future.

Till then i keep enjoying other features  of this lovely site.

Type www.chess.com... it loads very quickly and for free, a great resource to the community and a magnanimous gesture on the part of the chess.com staff, click on forums, look at the recent forum posts, (all speedily, of course) and see nothing but whiny members complaining about dead-horse issues. CHESS.COM APPRECIATES YOUR GRATITUDE, *expletive.*

This place kicks ass.  I've never been disconnected.  I love Live Chess.  I love this site.  It's free,  stop whining.

I love this site too, and have only been disconnected a couple of times in Live Chess.

IMHO this is the best chess site out there.

Hey, there's a little something you missed.

""PLEASE READ! DO NOT USE LIVE CHESS unless you understand that it is still a work-in-progress. You MAY be disconnected randomly."

http://www.chess.com/livechess/myhome.html

This notice has been on the page for probably a year now. It's worth reading.

As has been said on the forums several times, the current version of Live Chess is broken :(

We as a staff feel bad about that, and we're sorry it doesn't work.

Because of this, we've had to start Live Chess over, from scratch. We are COMPLETELY re-doing it, and that takes time.

erik has previously said in the forums;

the first version of live chess (currently online) was built by 2 people. this next version has 7 people working on it, including 2 of the top industry leaders.

Thanks kohai for your comment. And as a chess.com fan I personally feel that a downloadble client will give better satisfaction than the on browser one.
