My grouping just finished all games and i ended up 6-2-0 as did the winner for some reason the other guy had a higher tie break and moved on. Does that mean i'm eliminated?? I can no longer find myself on the standings list

If you are no longer on the list, yes, you are eliminated. Many tournaments use the tie break feature on this site, for more information on that see here: http://www.chess.com/tournaments/help.html#tiebreak .

In this tournament  both players advance to the 2 nd round  regardless of tie-break points . Iam sure that  this is stated in the tournament rules.
