This site needs more ELO Rating Tournaments.  I would actually like Chess.com to organize the Official Chess.com Tournaments more often than it has been going on so far.  Preferably once every month or 2.

I join plenty of open tournaemnts, but most of the time they are not as fun due to lack of rating restrictions.  I often end up with people that are 600 points below me, and I'm sure neither of us has much fun.  I know because every now and then I end up playing against someone who's way above me in rating, and the games are rarely close.  Usually you can predict who's going to advance from the group just by looking at their score - not very exciting.

But if you have a tournament with ranges (1200-1400, 1400-1600, 1600-1800 etc.), then every game counts and it's a race to the very end.

So how about adding some more of those Chess.com?  Like 1st Chess.com tournament, 2nd Chess.com tournament etc...

I think that rating-restricted tournaments already exist. For example, this one fits your rating. Also, you don't have to wait for Chess.com to start a tournament. You can do it yourself.

I only play OTB tourney's....but good ideas both of you #;)
