Heading to the UK soon. Does anyone know if there's much of anything to see, say a museum, in Hastings or perhaps some other city or town other than London.

It is great place if it's sunny but no so great if it's raining. There is also a famous Nepali resturant there called the Gurkha Palace.

My original post could have been a bit clearer. I've been to the UK on a number of occasions but never previously considered chess as a possible focal point for the trip. I know there's a small town in Germany that's got a lot of chess history and a museum but so far I'm unable to find anything comparable in the UK. I thought Hastings might be a possible candidate, given the history of the tournament held there, but maybe not? This trip will not include London so I was looking at the south of England as we'll spend most of our time there.
