Upsets?

This past weekend I was fortunate enough to be in the running for an upset prize at a small tournament after I defeated a player rated about 250 points higher than me. Unfortunately, a young lady won a game against an opponent over 600 points above her, earning the upset prize.

What is your upset story (from either side)?

Yes, I read your article and it just added to my interest in upsets. I had never been in the running for an upset prize, and was actually really happy for the young lady who won it this time (she was rated around 650 and beat a 1300!). I'm just glad I wasn't on the other side, because I ended up playing that same young lady in the final round of the tournament and got the win.

I don't even want to talk about it.  I remember a tournament where I lost to an 8 year old girl... I was not amused
