I didn't comment on Ivanchuk's atrocious behavior, so I couldn't the original forum.  I admit, I was a little shocked.

But, what if Ivanchuk is trying to do for chess what B. Bjorn did for tennis.  Hey, worked for tennis!!

Indeed, McEnroe is exactly right.  The Bad Boy of Tennis.            

               Very entertaining to see him beat his racket to death and sling it's dead body across the court.

I wouldn't use the word "atrocious". You know, regular/normal people play regular chess, draw regular pictures, etc. Ivanchuk is not regular, that's why he plays so strong and great. As soon as he doesn't kick anybody, I would forgive him kicking whatever he kicked.
