Why the need to post this in general discussion? And secondly 1456 is definitely not "considerably higher" than 1435...

And I don't really see why your opponent would be out of his mind? Up until move 26 I would say the game was pretty even. And after 26. Kh1 he should have played Nxe1 and black is perfectly fine. But he kinda missed that and later blunders a queen. It happens.
