When people discuss chess theory? What do they mean specifically? How can chess be theoritical?
Thanks crew!

Theory refers to the accumulative knowledge that exists about chess that is thought to be correct. For example opening theory refers to the accumulative knowledge about openings that is thought to be the correct or best way to play a specific opening and so it is with every aspect in chess.
