Quite a number of people are attacking the challenger for certain reasons, and others are attacking the champion for certain reasons.
Some are cheering their favorite on in hopes they win.
But here's an alternative view.
I hope both of them win equal amounts, not just draws, but real wins, and I hope that by the end of the match the winner will be determined by 1/2 point or 1 point.
That is the best for the chess world. That is what you should demand and hope for. Forget trying to be "on a side", and think about how much more exciting chess will be when the fight is really close.
I don't care if Topalov or Anand wins. If Topalov wins, there is a new era perhaps world champions have a chance to be seen in a different light, if Anand wins, he creates a new era of dominating for many years. Maybe Topalov or Anand after the championship can do a much better job of promoting chess all over the world.
That's what everyone should hope for.

You can't win by 1/2 of a point...

topalov would be bad for chess...much like the Fide system of old.corrupt bullies wont draw in sponsors with BIG money.I do care who wins I want what is best for chess in the long run.this is my opinion and I stand behind it.

I would prefer one got a butt kicken to prove the winner was truly best, and not just lucky. Probably Anand should be the kicker.

The last game proves Anand isn't just some old dog to be counted out. He's still the most resourceful player since Kasparov in any kind of difficult position.
I simply hope more great games are played, and that maybe people will start to yearn for the longer matches of previous world championships where entire lines of theory were created and destroyed.

Topalov demanded "Sofia Rules" before the WC.
IF he wins, be prepared for a plethora of new demands in the next WC, which might make the next WC ridiculous or impossibe (like or worse than Fischer's demands)l
