No matter which pieces I use to mate it's just good to do it as soon as possible .. Anyway, bishop and knight its fine

It's always fun to sacrifice a lot of material to get mate, especially when you see the other person's expression.

I seem to recall that Morphy once sacrificed both of his rooks and his queen to achieve checkmate.

Epaulette mates are amazing. I think that they must be quite rare. I've never had one, has anyone here?

I think Carlsen may have been 13 or 14 years old when it did this. Makes you sick dunnit :)

I like sacrificing heavily, even if the sacrifices are gratuitous, and then checkmating with all of my remaining pieces.

When your opponent's fianchettoed Bishop is missing and you mate with a single Knight and Bishop.

Maradonna, offtopic but that game reminded me a lot of this:

Nice game - strong attack. Is this one of yours? I don't really know anything about openings, but the white attack must be thematic with B19  Caro Kann: Classical Variation, main lines. Are you a Caro Kann player?

I'm a fan of discovered checkmates, especially when the piece you move guards one of the remaining flight the square.
