What PIECE would you replace the KING with?

If you could replace your king with a piece that you made up, what would it be? (You won't lose automatically, though)

The unmatable piece

a Knightqueen.

I assume the new piece would be the "King" (i.e. losing it would mean losing the game).

A Pawnbishop

Any piece you replace it with would make it annoyingly difficult to checkmate it unless you replaced it with a pawn.

Seriously, there would be a ton of draws even if it got replaced with something like a bishop.

A Ferz, or a Wazir.

A piece that made chessplayers able to start interesting forums.

Rosie O'Donnell. I mean, who the heck wants to move their pieces anywhere near that woman?! She'd be the invincible piece!

I agree, I don't understand how the game would work... it would be a new variation and perhaps new game in itself... but if it was possible in this warped variation, certainly, another Queen.

How bout a king that can only move one square from its original location. it can castle and it has to move when it's in check. That's my brilliant new idea.

Might as well reinvent the wheel while your at it.

could also abolish the word check and also check mate. pointless words in the chess world
