what I have always had a delema whether it is good to get your queen out into play early or let it wait intil all of your piecies are in play. franly I have no idea wich is better when i could see both having there own perks.

Generally you want to keep it back until your pieces are developed. If you bring it out early, your opponent can attack it while developing his own pieces at the same time. You have to spend your time moving your queen to keep her safe. Then your opponent has all his pieces out, and you're lucky if you haven't had to completely retreat your queen. That gives him a much stronger position going into the middle of the game.

There are times when it is appropriate, but when you are starting out you should try and keep her back while you get your knights and bishops out.

Queen is geared towards defense at the start of the game.

Queens usually stay put, I think, until they are needed. That's also my mentality - let's me sleep longer

Je pense que la reine est tres bien sauf et tu besoin utilise la reine quand c'est vachement neccesaire, pas demain sa.

I think that the queen is better safe and you need to use the queen only when it's completely necessary, not before that.

thats an odd oppening. it very riskey to because it causes your defence to fall tenfoldUndecided

realy. I find that in the beginning of the game I like to keep my queen close to the rest of my pieces to provide a good defence. but your the one with all the trophies so obiosly its stupidto argue with youTongue out

I trade mine off for theirs as soon as i can, as long as it doesnt hinder my defence to do so.

But I haven't bothered with it for a while now. I normally play a Bishop out now.

I usually develop knights and bishops, don't move your queen early, because its more vulnerable to be attacked.
