Ok, no really.  What would you do for 1000 elo rating points?  Not just the points but obviously the skill coming with them would last.  For players already around 2000...what would you do for 500 pts?

Would you leave your girlfriend?  Would you dedicate one day a week for the rest of your life to soup kitchens?  Would you name your next child Snuffalupagus?  Tell me something creative, difficult for you, but TRUE!

I'd give up alcohol for a decade.

I'd throw pebbles at random schoolchildren every day for a month.

I'd spend 6 months alone on Antarctica.

I'd give up 1. Cards, 2. Scrabble, 3. Monopoly, and 4. Bowling and 5. Ice skating for life.  

I'd give 20% of my liquid assets to charity every year for the rest of my life without tax deductions or hope of religious compensation.
