Sometimes, I cannot resist getting up and dancing to awesome songs. This is detrimental to my clock time and concentration! Is it possible to listen to music and still play a good game of Chess? I like tracks with a killer hook and beat and do not want to switch to Classical! Help!

I'm not really sure by what you mean when you say "killer hook and beat"... Could that be like Funk and stuff?
And being a bassist, I listen to this one track by a guy called Gustavo Dal Farra, Amazing bass player really... This track has a cool beat and is calming at the same time. I listen to that while playing bullet chess...

AC/DC. Nothing better than "Highway to Hell" to accompany your launch of a Muzio Gambit.
That's pretty good too... except you just have to mute the voice of the lead singer

I also have a weakness for killer hooks, beats, and flows, but find listening to my absolute favorites too distracting. I tend to either listen to jazz (Randy Weston/Dave Bruebeck/Miles Davis are favorites) or play in silence. There's some electronic stuff thats good if you can't forego the beat (Bibio, Baths, Ulrich Snauss, and Clark are all good choices.)

classical beethoven mozart for a more positional game
For the Latvian Gambit, the Get Smart theme (old or new). The game will be over by the time the music ends.
