Hello

          I have been on the site now for about a month now. I can hold my own in "live chess" but ild like to get better. Ive never studied anything like tactics or openings or lines of attack. So i wanted to know where the best place to start would be?

I would suggest a little bit of daily tactics training supplemented by some basic opening and endgame study.  Afterall, "99% of chess is tactics."
