Which do you prefer?

1) 6 straight draws in 6 games. You are unbeaten in the tournament but yet to win a game.

or

2) 3 wins  but with 3 losses.

Three wins and three losses. Since in most tournaments you advance by points, 6 draws would get you 0 points, and 3 wins and 3 losses gives you 3 points.

I guess it depends on how the tournament is set up. In general, in OTB tournaments draws are 1/2 point and wins 1 point.

incorrect. A draw will give you half a point, wich means you end up with the same score.

Prefer?Smile

I prefer to collect invaluable experience, as far as chess game playing, to build knowledge, in certain areas I am weak,  to get to know people that share the joy.

Win lose or draw, don't matter in the end.  Ratings, hahhh, please,  it doesn't matter.

Josh Waitzkin says it best, enjoy the journey!
