I'm absolutely not suggesting a challenge from them; I'm simply curious who is the best around here, as I recently joined. Is there a single undisputable champ on here?
goldendog
I know who has the best rating, but the question is what is it exactly they are best at.
orangehonda
Yes, you'll notice Briaronfire that the top guy doesn't stay #1 for long. An undisputed master who is recognized as kick @## by the rest of us doesn't really exist here although if you check out the titled players page you'll get a good idea of some logical contenders.

ChessNetwork rating is 4200 in bullet!

A chess.com wide knockout tournament might be a fun way to find out.
As long as I don't have to play Yelena Dembo, she's unbeated, don't you know.

Be warned the top CC players are undoubtably using engine help in some form or another (anyone denying this is being completely naive). I've heard even some of the top titled players use blunder-checking analysis (even thought that is not allowed either) to compete with the other centaurs.
The best bet is to play live chess and go with quicker games like 5-0, 3-0, or 1-0. This will avoid most all of the cheaters you will ever run into.

Well, Magnus Carlsen comes to this site once in a while, so my vote goes to him.
I'm joking BT, but who knows?

Not really, but anybody above 2300 standard is a strong player and above 2600 standard is very strong -

Hehe...oh, speak of the devil...
You're paired against Ms Dembo in the first round. Good luck!

above 2600 standard is very strong -
I'd say so, since the highest rated player in standard on this site is 2488.

I wish they would add "opponent's average rating" to show what type of competition the player goes up against.

Not on the overview in the link.
you have to click a lot to get it.
click on a player click online chess then click online chess. the stats are listed to the right avg you have met. mine is 1650 I think.
but I think it would be great to have it in the overview.
