"Why complain?"

How hypocritical!

Not that there's anything wrong with your complaining - if you admit that you are being hypocritical.  He did ask politely, after all.

Ha!  I don't mind admitting it... however, my question is actually an earnest one: why complain about something (taking a "long" time between moves) that you have control over entering into (move length is one of the specifications for any tournament or game)?

Was your opponent new to the site? I recall politely asking my first opponent to move, because I perceived chess.com as a place where people play games in realtime, and they only have one game at once. Then I discovered the beauty of correspondence. Laughing

I hadn't thought of that - but he is new, only 6 games in so far.  I guess that explains it!

Yeah, the only time I've been asked to move faster (I move pretty fast) is when I'm playing greeter games.

i find the faster i move , the more inclined i am to make an error. The more games i play simultaneously, the less i seem to commit to any one game. Take your time and focus on the game in hand.  Less is more
