All the perfect plans that I concoct always backfire and none of my opponent's plans ever backfire...no matter how hard i try to find a stopping move, it just won't pop up. Why me? -sniff- Where's my blanky...

If you want to improve your blitz chess, you should study more tactics. I noticed during this game that you missed an obvious mate (Qd7#):

You need to see not only one move ahead but at least 2 or 3, startegy and combinations are missing.
The great world champions in difficult positions could and still can analyze from 12 to 20 moves ahead.
How many moves do you see?

Tactics have little to do with planning. How are you coming up your plans? This is extremely important...
thanks you guys!

tactics have everything to do with planning. If your plan doesn't work tactically then it doesn't work period. So tactics must be taken into account for when planning

Seeing 20 moves ahead is not something that every grandmaster, does all the time. When Richard Reti got the question how many moves ahead he sees, he allways surprised the beginner(s) by answering 1.
thanks every one for helping me in my chess study

I think you could copy and paste this thread under practically every single chess player's name and it would apply.
