Oh you're not taking this seriously are you? The whole original post is a farce. It looks like someone trying to sound like a foreigner on crack. I have spoken to foreigners on crack and it's nothing like this.

My theory is that good-looking chaps, being quite popular with the opposite sex, tend to find other things to do with their time than practice chess. On the other hand, the not-so-good-looking chap often finds himself with a lot of free time on a friday night, and what better way to spend it than chess?

Handsom is a personal opinion. A better question would be "Why don't I find chess men attractive". My guess is you like the more physical attributes, which you only get from physical activities. As for "stingy" people it only makes sense that once you begin to analyze things deeper you start to see less and less reason to do things for others who don't do things for you. This is all just guesses since I don't know you, or the people you play with.

If you are looking for a 'chess husband' and want him to be rich too, you will probably have to accept someone very ugly, and im taken already, sorry....

I like to think I'm at kind of handsome, amicable, and at least above average at chess. What surprises me is that this post was directed towards men, despite modern cultures being predominantly patriarchal. Perhaps I'm deluded, but I was under the impression that the chess population is generally more populated by men.

So in response, where are all the pretty young ladies who play chess?

i have a rating of 1750 on chess.com and i was a male model (good looking) i also was a stand in for the backstreet boys and acted in some movies and lots of stage plays, I usually was given roles of good looking young men like a prince or in the 'sound of music' i played a young austrian soldier who was in love with a sergeants daughter. So overall i am good looking, i am also very generous and i am a pastor and i started a non profit organization to raise money for orphans. I kept none of the money for myself. I am not worried that people will accuse me of bragging because the Bible says that by allowing people to see your good works, they will glorify God in Heaven. It is only because God is so good to me that i want to express my gratitude with generosity. The good looks were just a gift from God to me!  If i was any better looking i would be a grand master in chess with a rating like Kasparov!!

Why don't you thank your mother and father for your good looks instead of the holy ghost?  Also, I am good looking and very generous and play chess so OP I cant see what you are talking about.

It's one thing to make generalizations but something else entirely to make them if you haven't gone past your own backyard...

you tend to find that on the internet, most of the guys are stunningly handsome, thats the reason we/they spend most of our time online, to stop us being crushed under the stampede of hysterical beautiful women chasing after us....

This reminds me of when I was substitute teaching and this kid was a foreign exchange student, or claimed to be.  I sort of sensed that he was just putting on an act and he wasn't really from Lithuania or wherever his funky accent claimed to be from, but what was I going to do?  Call him out on it and risk the horrible embarrassment of being wrong?  So I looked around at the people sitting next to him, to inspect their faces for any hint that this guy was scamming me, you know, thinking that one of them would start busting up or look away.  Nothing.  None of them gave me anything to confirm this guy was a crackpot.  They all kept a perfectly straight face as if this moron had been using his obviously fake accent in class all year long and it was all perfectly normal to them.   I was left with no option but to remove my shirt and storm out of the classroom in a huff.  The experience left me emotionally scarred and I quickly became addicted to a mushroom chicken sandwich that Jack in the Box was making available for a limited time only.  Then that limited time ran out and even the sandwich was yanked away from me.  I eventually turned to a life on the streets.  So for the love of God I implore all of you not to let the original poster drive you into despair.  Don't let his harsh judgments smash your dreams of one day getting a better haircut and starting to work out with weights!   The future is yours!   You have the power to pop that zit today!  And to show it on youtube!

It reminds me of something i heard a while back about comedians, and that the 'safest' joke to tell in a standup routine is the 'ugly' person joke...nobody admits to being offended! not a single person will stand up and say, 'well actually im ugly and i dont appreciate that remark' LOL
