what is the point of 1 min chess?
it isn't chess, it isn't fun , theres no time to think....i played a few just and felt the same (whats the point) feeling as i do when i played an xbox shoot em up.
seems to me like it just goes against everything that the game of chess is supposed to be,
so i guess the question is, does anyone think fast chess can improve your skill or , improve you in anyway , or is it simply a quick blast when you dont feel like realy trying?

Playing bullet counts for 7 hit points on the Richter scale but only if you get a McLafferty rearrangement.

If it isn't fun, don't play it.
Unless you already have the McLafferty rearrangement.
i jus dont get why every one likes it an i dont

add increments to the minute, if it is too fast,
it can be used to kill time during a commercial break

I guess if a person is very good and knows openings well, they don't have to think at all in the opening. If there is an incrament at all, the players that don't think in the opening can gain a lot of time and have a real game and time to think later. That just makes sense to me although I don't play one minute games so I can't speak from experience. I'm also no master.

It keeps a lot of people from annoying everyone else, so it must be a good thing.

Not everyone likes it. I don't like it nearly as much as, say, 5+2. I play bullet from time to time, usually 2+1, and I'm happy if I can keep my rating above the 50th percentile. For blitz and standard, I aim for 80th or 90th.

my brain doesn't work that fast.. so i give it a miss.
Is there any chance that a 1300 rated player can beat a 2700 rated player?
