i have no problem playing chess while high and most of the time i play better on pot, just cause it gives u creativity and concentration on chess, fading everything else around u. Unless u r stoned and all u wanna do is eat. The reason ive started playing every day is cause it was so much fun to play while ure high.. and now im getting deeper and deeper into the world of chess, so its about to quit smoking ,cause i dont fink it would take me to GM level, no way :)

Since you thought it an important enough reason to bump this year old thread (which you presumably found by typing "marijuana" into the search bar), perhaps you provide a concrete example of how smoking heightens your chess creativity?

well u should allready have some creativity in u. it just helps u to be more creative on some things more when u smoke, than ure sober. Just look at how writers, poets and musicians...comedians and inventors...marketing execs and olympic snowboarders alike are probably all inspired from different types of bud...different substances altogether, even.

From Shakespear and with his coke and weed, to Rudyard Kipling and hash, to Vincent Van Gogh and Absinthe, to Adlous Huxley and Mescaline, to the Beatles and the Owsley gram of LSD...   are probably all inspired from different types of bud...different substances altogether, even.

You should read more.

Beelzebub666 had the best response, in my opinion: "ll you have to do to regain full brain function is stop smoking it." I know I could think more clearly when I stopped smoking everyday, in my youth. I excelled in college, after giving it up.

I'm a new member here and thought I'd introduce myself. I'm looking to improve my very poor game and wondered if there might be anyone out there willing to play a few games?
