What are your thoughts on the World Chess Cup 2009, which runs from
tomorrow November 20th through December 15th?
I was surprised by how long the event is, 25 days is pretty lengthy for
any chess event.
I am curious as to how American Robert Hess will perform, he is our
current best hope right now and with Magnus playing the way he is Hess is
really going to have to step up his game.
Who do you think will have the most success at the tournament.  I will
see if I can find a complete list of players.

Josh Friedel who has done chess videos for chess.com will be playing there too. vs a 2700+ rated opponent in the first round, Wang Hao, whom Josh and I happened to meet on a few occasions and is a very nice guy.

Another young American participating will be Ray Robson.
