No stalemate, as each king has plenty of legal moves to make. Of course, the game will be a draw (eventually) according to the 50-move rule--neither king can make progress, and no pawn can move (or be captured).

Not stalemate (thats only when a player has no remaining legal moves), but it will be a draw nonetheless.

Unless there is a resignation (which would be hillarious), it is a draw just not by stalemate.

Check out this Wiki write-up:

The position above is surely a draw, however, because neither King can break through into the enemy's territory, and so no progress can be made :).

It is not stalemate. However, it is an immediate draw, the game is over, because it's a dead position (neither side can possibly mate the other).

Let's quote a bit of the FIDE Laws of Chess:

5.2

a.

The game is drawn when the player to move has no legal move and his king is not in check. The game is said to end in ‘stalemate’. This immediately ends the game, provided that the move producing the stalemate position was legal.

b.

The game is drawn when a position has arisen in which neither player can checkmate the opponent’s king with any series of legal moves. The game is said to end in a ‘dead position’. This immediately ends the game, provided that the move producing the position was legal. (See Article 9.6)

A Draw. The kings can't get rid of their opponents pawns to progress any for a promotion, and they can't get to the other side to get a mate, nor can they get a mate with just a king. It will eventually draw, but not stalemate.

A stalemate is when the player on the move can only move his king and his only moves result in check to his king.

It has occured in one of my games, however not the exact same position and a few pawn moves were able to be played but none of them would have improved my or my opponents position. I'm glad that you are sorry because I was the one that created the situation and it was against an opponent rated 400 points below me Tongue out
