LOL. Every few months to a year I come across one of those. It helps to have a sense of humor about it! A lot fewer on this website than on a lot of others on the internets.

I knew a USCF CC Master back in the 80's before PCs or the Internet for us proles and he was only about 1400 OTB partly or mostly because he specialized in CC. I rarely play live chess now and would probably be rated at least a few to several hundred pts lower (than my CC rating) if I took it up again. Few players are = in both CC and OTB but of course there's no pt in explaining this to people who are obviously mentally ill, or just flat out stupid.

Few players are = in both CC and OTB, and there's no point in trying to explain this to people who are flat out stupid or mentally ill here in the forums. I've tried. Fact is not everybody who plays CC plays OTB, and not everybody who plays OTB plays CC.
