Hi Everyone,

I have been spending a great deal of time with the tactics trainer lately and was curious whether most of you have been able to maintain an approximately equal rating between the tactics trainer ratings and your overall rating?

One thing I've noticed is that my tactics rating hugely fluctuates depending on the day, but I tend to eventually return to around 50-100 points shy of my overall rating.

I must say that I've noticed a dramatic improvement in my gameplay since my tactics have gone up these last few hundred points (Set a new high today of 1814!).  I would highly recommend that each of you make it your goal to try and set new highs with your tactics training that closely match / exceed your overall rating.  I truly believe this is one of the most critical ways to up your gameplay.

my tactic trainer rating is below my overall rating right now by about 300 points.  however, my tactics training record is moving up and my overall rating is not so the gap may become less. 

my tactics trainer is usually well below my rating due to my trainer habit of using it when I am too tired or "ripped, smashed ,pissed, etc." to bother someone to play a game, and I know others utilize it the same way.

My rating on the tactics trainer is way below my rating on games.  Both go up and down.  My game has improved because of the tactics trainer.  It has taught methods that I use during my game that are useful in securing advantages that I would not have used without this teaching method.  I like using it.  I recommend that others use it also.  Probably of all methods of improving your game I think this is well worth the time.

my rating on he tactics trainer is incredibly higher than my game rating.... 2500 against 1800.... any idea for such a big difference?

I would say that tactic trainer is all about tactics, while in a real game you have to deal with position also, and u r playing a better opponent.
