So I time out in my first game on this account, giving me 100% timeout ratio. Now I'm unable to accept anyone's challenges whatsoever. How do I get out of this, if I can't accept games to lower my seeks?
PrawnEatsPrawn
I suppose one way to deal with this situation is to accept challenges sent your way. I've sent you a challenge, accept or decline, as you wish.
I tried Prawn - it says "Your timeout ratio does not allow you to accept this seek".
furtiveking
Rae1, if you want, try challenging me.
I sent you a challenge, Furtiveking, and I resigned a game to see if that would work, it lowered my timeout to 67% but that is apparently still too high. What do I have to do to be able to accept open seeks again, or any games for that matter?
ah! okay... I'm on it... I reckon I need to change some of my settings. Try again in 2 mins.

Is it possible that most people have a default setting for their opponent's timeout ratio?
That's what I thought, but I can't find any such setting. It seems that we can't play Rael. It doesn't seem quite right to me that I can't play whomsoever I wish.
The way you phrased that made me think...what if he's on your friend list?
Afaf, I can't even play people on my friends list. I have a pile of challenges sitting there that it tells me I cannot accept.
So when you sent furtiveking a challenge, what happened? Can you try sending me one?
Yeah, really struggling to post a picture.... tried three different browsers.... keep getting the "Oops! our servers made a dubious move" message or something similar. Just downloaded a 4th browser "Safari" and I still can't post a picture. I'm going to reboot, back in 5.
It seems to be working...I have moved a piece...
Why'd you delete your wicked image, Prawn? That was the solution to it all! Post it again in case someone searches help or whatever. You put the work in to make it, and I loved the yellow circles! Dude!
So as you can clearly see, it's not the site rules that prevent you from accepting, maybe a bug in the programming?
Sveta
It might be Pawn.
His name is Prawn.

Why the hostility towards the OP? At the time of his posting, he didn't have ANY games going on. He has since resolved the issue... why attack him (or anyone) like that? Why assume that he's just causing trouble instead of running your attitude and post through a logic filter in your head first?
lol. I also thought this guy woke up and went senile. hehe...but maybe he knows the OP from a long time ago?? Please explain this strange behavior, Paul
